Krafty Kuts’ career reads like a book of breakbeat culture, there are chapters in hip hop, breaks, electro and even UKG and drum n bass. It’s a plot with multiple twists and turns, which now all comes together in a series of E.P.s entitled Breakin’ Boundaries.

‘I don’t stick to one sound’ says Krafty Kuts, ‘I’m absorbed in all music, even after decades in the game, I’m still just as passionate about pushing the boundaries, it’s ever-evolving. I keep current, I keep moving.’

Breakin’ Boundaries is a statement of intent. From the soulful UKG vibes of ‘Keep It Real’ to the driving breakbeats of ‘Stronger’, to the ragga fused ‘Running’ featuring MC Spyda, the slick summery hip hop of Stutter Butter and the pumping synth sounds of ‘Unlock The Future’ – Krafty Kuts continues to champion his multi-genre approach to making music.

‘Ask any OG DJ and they will tell you dance music was never about staying in one lane’ adds Krafty Kuts, ‘as the saying goes; a good DJ is not one that plays the tracks you want to hear, but one that plays the tracks you didnt know you wanted to hear. And let’s face it, no one listens to just one genre of music!’

This mantra to go against the grain has been steadfast throughout Krafty Kuts’ career, and even influenced the name of his record label on which this E.P. is released.
